Matti fixed what she hoped was an attentive look on her face and then let her mind wander, careful to keep flicking her eyes back to Joshua’s face in a show of listening. He was a nice enough guy, and a good lay, but he just wasn’t interesting to her. This was their second official date and she was bored already – they’d only been seated about 10 minutes. She sighed inwardly. She’d sit it out, get in one last shag, and then break it off. Such a pity because he was pretty good in bed – just couldn’t hold her attention as soon as he started talking. They obviously didn’t have much in common.
Her thoughts were interrupted as she noticed him switch his attention from her to something behind her; something that brought a look of excitement to his face.
“I’m so sorry Matti – but would you excuse me for just a few minutes?” he asked, looking back at her. She was reminded of a child who’d just seen their favourite toy and wanted to go and play with it. “I’ve just spotted a colleague at the bar – I’ve been trying to arrange a meeting with him but he’s so hard to get hold of – this is a perfect time to nail him down. I’ll be five minutes.” Without even waiting for a response, Joshua was up and off, heading for the bar. Matti rolled her eyes and sighed again, outwardly this time. On a positive note, she realised she didn’t have to listen to his prattle for at least a little while. She probably owed the colleague at the bar a drink for doing her such a favour. Grinning to herself, she turned in her seat to see just who she would be buying for. It didn’t take her long to spot Joshua, nor to see, and recognise, the tall figure he was talking animatedly to.
Sebastien. Matti felt an instant flush of desire as she stared at him. Josh’s back was toward her, but he was gesturing over his shoulder, explaining, Matti assumed, what he was doing at the restaurant. Sebastien looked in her direction and their eyes locked. Even across the room she felt the electricity between them, although not even a hint of recognition showed on his face before he looked away, back at Joshua.
Matti turned back around, unsettled. She hadn’t seen Sebastien since that night he’d come to her house after she finally gave up and told him to fuck off. He’d called, he’d texted her, he’d even shown up at her house a couple of times since, but she’d ignored it all. After a couple of months, he gave up. They moved in similar circles, but she’d avoided seeing him somehow. Until now. At least it was at a distance. Matti wasn’t sure how well she’d ignore him if he was close to her. Even less sure if he could touch her.
She was startled out of her thoughts as Josh appeared back at the table and Matti noted the apologetic look on his face suspiciously.
“I hope you don’t mind, Matti,” he said, not sitting down. “My colleague is here with a friend – they’ve come a long way and it looks like there was a mix up with their booking. I offered to share our table with them – seeing as its large enough – it seemed unfair that they should just have to turn around and leave.” Matti had to make an effort to not roll her eyes. A long way? She knew for a fact Sebastien lived about 5 minutes from here.
She realised Joshua was waiting for a response. Moot point considering a waiter was already setting two more places. “That’s fine,” she replied, plastering a smile on her face.
She felt her spine tingle and knew Sebastien and his date must have reached the table. Joshua started to introduce them, but Sebastien interrupted him.
“We know each other. Hello, Matti,” he said as he bent and kissed her lightly on the cheek. His eyes lingered on her a fraction longer than normal before he stood, and half turned towards his companion. “This is Natalie.”
They took their seats and after a few stilted moments, the conversation started to flow. Matti realised that Natalie, once she overcame her shyness, was a smart, level-headed and funny woman. She was a teacher and had many stories to tell which had them all laughing. It was easy enough to relax until just after they’d finished their mains and Natalie and Joshua excused themselves to go to the bathroom at the same time, leaving Matti and Sebastian alone. As soon as the others were out of earshot, Sebastien dropped his casual facade and rounded on her.
“You ignored every single one of my calls. My texts. For god’s sake, you even pretended you weren’t home to avoid me.” He spoke quietly but the anger was obvious. “Why?”
She turned to look at him coolly. “I guess I just didn’t need a fuck when you called,” she replied.
He took a deep breath, trying to control his rising temper. “I wasn’t calling you to fuck, Matti, and you know it.”
“Do I?” She held his gaze. “I’m pretty sure we established that was your modus operandi, Sebastien. Why would I think any different?”
Sebastien stared at her. He wanted to say more but he spied Joshua returning to the table. Carefully schooling his features into blankness, he took a long drink of his almanbahis adresi whisky. He was prepared to wait.
Thirty minutes later dessert was done and they were getting ready to leave. As they all stood, Seb looked to Joshua. “Would you be keen to head next door and have another drink?” he asked casually.
Joshua’s eyes lit up. He’d barely been able to talk business during dinner, this was an opportunity he couldn’t miss. “Absolutely,” he confirmed, then glanced guiltily at Matti. “You OK with that, Matti?”
She almost rolled her eyes again, having an inkling what Sebastien was up to, but simply smiled and nodded. One dance and she’d make Joshua an offer he couldn’t refuse – then they’d be out of there and away from Sebastien.
They made their way down the short walk-through between restaurant and club, Seb leading the way. At the end they were stopped, the doorman initially refusing them entry. A quick chat with Seb saw them not only let in, but ushered quickly to a booth and given welcome drinks. Matti was disappointed to note how starstruck Joshua seemed to be by Seb. She knew he was up to something, just wasn’t sure what. Once they were settled, Seb disappeared for about 5 minutes which made her even more uneasy. But before long, the music pulsing through the club took her attention and all she wanted to do was dance.
Taking a long drink of her champagne, Matti turned to Natalie. “Do you dance?” she asked.
Natalie shook her head. “Not often. It would take an exceptional offer to get me out there.” Her gaze drifted to Seb, who had returned to the table and was chatting to Joshua.
Matti winked at her, then tapped Joshua on the shoulder. Sliding against him, she put on her most persuasive face. “Dance with me?” She stood and headed for the floor, not waiting for his answer. He followed though and soon they were encased in a moving sea of bodies, moving to the music. It had changed as they entered the floor, becoming more casual, not really allowing for Matti and Joshua to dance together. It was unusual for this club; usually the music was intense, to the point the dance floor resembled a fully clothed orgy.
But they danced. After a song or two, Sebastian and Natalie joined them and the two couples danced side by side. A song later the music changed, became more suited to couples, although it was still not as intense as usual. Matti danced in Joshua’s arms, trying to be subtly suggestive. She was about to ask him if they should head home when Sebastian tapped his shoulder.
“May I cut in?” he asked, his words clear despite the music.
Joshua smiled good-naturedly and spun her towards Sebastian, accepting Natalie’s hand in return, both men oblivious to the expressions on the face of the women they were passing around like cigars.
Matti fumed. She had zero desire to dance with Sebastien; firstly, because it was Sebastien, and secondly because the music was frankly shite. She glared at him and took a step back, ready to not-so-politely excuse herself. He kept a firm grip in her hand and she saw him nod to someone over her shoulder; in an instant the music changed. Suddenly, the throbbing beat Matti had been missing was there. The dance floor exploded as everyone realised the energy was back. Despite herself, Matti found her body begin to move with the beat. When Sebastian drew her closer, she went to him. Their bodies, so well-known to each other, melded together effortlessly.
Matti forgot about Joshua and Natalie. She moved instinctively, her arms sliding up and around Sebastian’s neck, feeling his hands on her lower back, her ass, her hips, holding her against him as they moved with the music. He turned her, so her back was to his chest, pulling her tightly against him, his hands on her hips, burning through her dress. She tilted her head against his shoulder as he dropped his face to her exposed neck, his breath hot on her skin. She ground her ass against him, feeling the hardness of his arousal, feeling her breasts tighten in response, knowing he would be aware how he was affecting her.
They danced like that through three more songs – Joshua and Natalie had long since left the floor. All around them couples were intertwined, hands and mouths roaming as they all but fucked to the music. Despite her anger at Sebastian for what she now realised was his total manipulation of the music, Matti couldn’t deny how turned on she was by him. How her body responded to his touch. How badly she wanted to fuck him. She closed her eyes, fighting a battle with herself, knowing she should walk away, get Joshua and go home. As if conjured by her thoughts, Joshua suddenly appeared on the dance floor, her purse in his hand, a look of tightly controlled anger on his face.
“I think it’s time to go,” he snapped, leaning in to be heard, “if you want to join me – if you don’t have other plans.” He cast a scathing look toward Sebastian.
Matti stepped away from Sebastian, recognising an opportunity to escape. almanbahis adres She nodded. “Let me go say goodbye to Nat and I’ll be right out,” she promised, smiling.
Joshua gave her a long stare and then nodded, turning and disappearing through the crowd without so much as looking at Sebastian. Matti turned to head for their table, but Sebastian reached for her, stopping her. He pulled her close and stared down at her. “Stay,” he said in a low voice. “You belong here, with me. Stay with me.”
Matti out her hands on his chest. “Oh Seb. I could stay with you forever. If only that’s what you wanted.” She met his gaze and then reached up, planting a light kiss on his mouth. “Goodbye.” She turned and walked away – this time Sebastien let her go.
Natalie was sitting alone, busy on her phone. Matti wondered if she was going to cop it from the other woman, but to her surprise Natalie seemed unbothered by it all. She gave Matti a warm goodbye, even giving Matti her number and suggesting they catch up for a drink, sans the men. Matti headed out of the club feeling slightly tipsy and looking forward to getting Joshua home.
He was waiting at the curb with a car, holding the door open for her and sliding in beside her.
“Your place or mine?” she asked with a cheeky grin.
Joshua returned her gaze coldly. “Your place and mine,” he replied. “I’ll drop you first then go home.”
“Why?” Matti said, genuinely confused. “I’d like you to come back to mine – or me to yours?”
“You have to be kidding me,” Joshua ground out. “After that little orgy on the dance floor between you two? I’m actually surprised you came out.” The look on Joshua’s face turned nasty. “I gather you offered him this deal and he rejected you, so you thought you’d try it on me. You must have felt pretty stupid. Poor guy was just trying to talk some business – and you thought what? That he was genuinely interested in you? And failing that, at least you still had plan B? Thanks, but no thanks. I don’t feel like being your consolation prize. Guess you should have thought a bit more before you threw yourself at him like that.”
Matti felt her temper rising as Joshua spoke but held it in until he finished, a look of triumphant disdain on his face.
“You done?” she asked, her voice suddenly low and silky. Anyone who knew her would have recognised it; it was an indication that she was about to abandon all social niceties.
“You think I got rejected by him? You think I was bothering the big, busy businessman and interrupting his important time with you? Oh Joshua, let me let you in on a little secret.” She slid closer to him on the seat of the car.
“He wanted to take me home. He wanted it from the moment he turned up at the bar and saw me sitting at your table. It’s the only reason he agreed to come have dinner with us. He hadn’t travelled a long way – he lives 5 minutes from the restaurant. I know that because I’ve fucked him there many, many times.” Matti smiled in satisfaction as Joshua’s look of triumph began to falter. “And going to the club – that wasn’t to continue his talks with you, my ignorant, naïve boy. He suggested it because we have so much history in that club, and he knows how much I love it there. He knows how much that kind of music turns me on. He manipulated the DJ to play shit music while I danced with you and then switch it up as soon as he could get you to agree to let me dance with him.” She laughed a little. “As if I needed your fucking permission. Didn’t you notice that the good music started the instant I was dancing with him? Did you think that was just a coincidence?
“And yes, we did dance like we were fucking. That’s what the club is about. And it was hot. And I was so fucking turned on. And yet, when you came to the floor and wanted to leave, I agreed. Didn’t hesitate. Because I thought I’d come home with you and take all that frustration and turn it into the best night of your life.” Now she fixed her stare on him and her eyes were hard. “Sebastien asked me to stay with him. I said no and came after you. Only to have you act like a fucking two-year-old, and what’s worse, try to shame me or make me feel like I am inadequate, or a slut.” She shook her head and slid back to the far side of the seat, away from him. “Your loss, kiddo. I hope you enjoy your… whatever it is you thought you’d get out of acting like this. What a fucking waste of my time you’ve been.” She turned and looked out the window dismissively. She didn’t look at him again or say anything else until the car pulled up in front of her home. She opened her door and then turned to him.
“For the ride,” she said, tossing a $50 note onto the seat between them. “So, yeh, I won’t call you, ok? I suggest you lose my number too.” She got out and shut the door, walking inside without a backwards glance.
Matti kicked off her shoes as soon as she was inside and went to the fridge, grabbing a glass as she went. She poured herself a wine and sat at her bench, almanbahis adresi fuming. Turning down Sebastien had been the right decision at the time but now she was horny, angry and alone. Suddenly she laughed, grasping the ridiculousness of the situation. She thought of the look on Joshua’s face in the car and laughed harder. Her anger gone, she picked up her phone and pulled up Sebastien’s number.
You home yet?
His reply wasn’t instant, but it was quick enough for her to know he had been keeping his phone nearby. Yes. Why?
You alone? she typed out, ignoring his question.
Yes. Why?
She ignored his question again, opening her Uber app instead and booking a car. Why should she sit at home, frustrated and alone, when a source of release was reasonably nearby and apparently available?
Sebastien stared at his phone, waiting for Matti to respond. When she hadn’t after five minutes, he sighed, realising she’d probably passed out. Obviously, Joshua had been a bit quick. Or else they were getting into it now and that’s why she isn’t replying, a voice countered in his head. Sebastien frowned, hating the way it made him feel to think of Matti fucking someone else. He’d said goodbye to Natalie at the club – she was nice but after having Matti against him he’d had no desire to take another woman home. He wasn’t a perfect gentleman by any means, but he also wasn’t the type to fuck one woman while thinking of another.
He ran a hand through his hair and poured another whisky. At least he could enjoy a decent drink at home before having a shower and going to bed. A cold shower. He shifted, trying to adjust his cock which had stiffened again just thinking about Matti. He groaned, letting his thoughts wander. She was just such a package – sexy as fuck, not just because she was fit and confident, but because she was smart and could give as good as she got. She had a sense of humour and wasn’t prissy or prudish; she was also hot-headed and passionate – but under all that, he knew she could also be quiet and kind in the right situations. He just wished she’d been happy with the way things had been – with their casual but regular hook ups. It wasn’t that he wanted to see other people – he just had no desire to be obligated to do anything, to have to feel like he had to be selfless. But he’d been honest about that from the start, or so he thought.
When Matti had cut him off six months ago, he’d been genuinely surprised. He’d tried to make it up to her, but she’d walked away without a backwards glance. After a couple of months, he realised it was pointless and let her be. Seeing her tonight, he’d acted on impulse and thought he’d try one last time. Only to have her walk out again. He shook his head slightly, taking a long drink from his glass. Maybe it was time to actually fuck someone else.
He drained his glass and stood, intending to head for that cold shower, when his door buzzer went off. Glancing at his watch, he frowned, who would be at his door at this time of night? He crossed to the panel, hitting the button that activated the camera and then stared. Matti was looking back at him, a slightly amused look on her face. After a few moments she visibly sighed and pushed the button again, raising an eyebrow at the camera as if she knew he was looking at her. He pushed the button to let her in and then went back to the bar, pouring himself another whisky, as well as one for her. This was bound to be interesting.
He let her in wordlessly and then followed her to the living room. She accepted the whisky he offered and perched on the arm of the leather sofa. Taking a drink, she looked at him over the rim of her glass, noting he was still standing, a carefully blank look on his face.
“Well hey,” she said, “aren’t you going to sit down?”
“Not sure. How long are you staying?”
“That depends, I suppose…” she leant forward and placed her glass on the coffee table.
“Depends on…?” he prompted, still not moving.
She stood and approached him. She took his glass and placed it down beside hers, then stood in front of him, putting her palms on his chest. “On you, of course,” she said softly, not meeting his eyes, but sliding her hands slowly up, loving the feeling of his muscular chest through the fabric. She reached his top button and undid it, deliberately slowly, before moving down to the next and repeating the process.
Sebastien was fighting an internal battle. Ten minutes ago, he’d been fantasising about fucking her. Then he’d made the decision to stop trying to fix anything and move on. Now she was standing in front of him, clearly intent on getting him naked. His desire was instant; he knew she’d be aware of his arousal already. He shuddered as she slid her hands inside his shirt, onto his bare skin. Using every last ounce of self-control, he gently grasped her wrists, halting her progress.
“Why?” he asked. “I asked you to come with me; you said no. Why are you here now? I don’t get it.”
Matti dropped her hands and stepped away, rolling her eyes. “Oh, come on!” she exclaimed. “For fuck’s sake, does it matter? Isn’t this what you want – aren’t I what you want? I know you’re what I want. Just because I didn’t come home with you earlier doesn’t mean I didn’t want to.”
